Authors & Contributors
SafeNest Senior is an independent research publication founded in 2026 by Nghia Nguyen. This page identifies exactly who researches, tests, and writes the content you read here — because “who wrote this” is a question every reader of a YMYL (health and safety) site deserves a direct answer to, not a vague “our team” statement. (For the founding story and mission behind the site, see our About page — this page focuses specifically on authorship and how content gets made.)
Founder
Independent researcher specializing in senior home safety and assistive technology evaluation. Founded SafeNest Senior in 2026 after finding that many top-ranked medical alert review sites sorted products by affiliate commission rather than measured safety performance. Built the evaluation methodology — published on How We Test — before purchasing the first device.
Not a doctor, occupational therapist, or certified safety inspector — stated here directly, and repeated on our Medical Disclaimer, rather than left ambiguous. Medical and clinical questions belong with a qualified healthcare provider; this site’s role is independent product research, not clinical guidance.
Our Editorial Approach
- Research-backed: Health and safety claims are cross-referenced with CDC, AOTA, NIA, WHO, and peer-reviewed literature — see citations directly on each guide, not a generic reference list at the bottom.
- Independently tested: All devices are purchased at retail price — never supplied by manufacturers. See How We Test for the full protocol.
- Regularly updated: Commercial pages are reviewed quarterly; safety guides are updated when underlying clinical guidance changes.
- Fully disclosed: Affiliate relationships are marked on every page that has them. See Affiliate Disclosure.
- Honest about limitations: Where our own testing is still in progress, we say so — rather than publishing figures we haven’t actually measured. See our Editorial Standards.
How Content Actually Gets Made
From topic to published page
You can see what this process actually produces on our independent medical alert rankings — the same 5 pillars listed above, applied consistently across every device reviewed.
A Note on “Contributors”
Right now, SafeNest Senior’s research, testing, and writing is done by one person. We could have named this page “About the Founder” to avoid the question the plural title raises — instead, we’re answering it directly: we do not have a roster of credentialed contributors to list, and we’re not going to invent one. Several independent review sites in this space present fabricated author bios — occupational therapists, nurses, physicians — who don’t correspond to real, checkable people. We decided against that approach even though it’s common practice, because a fake expert byline is worse for a reader’s trust than an honest “founder-researcher, working alone, testing methodology published in full.”
As the team genuinely grows, additional contributors will be added here with real, verifiable bios — not before.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Nghia Nguyen a real, verifiable person?
Yes — founder identity and background are described consistently across this page, our About page, and site schema markup. We’re aware that verifiable external profile links (e.g., LinkedIn) strengthen this further, and that’s an active item on our own launch checklist.
Does SafeNest Senior have medical reviewers?
Not at this time. We are not doctors, occupational therapists, or certified safety inspectors, and this site does not claim clinical review of its content. Health and safety claims are instead sourced directly from CDC, AOTA, NIA, and WHO publications, linked on each relevant page.
How do I report an error in something written on this site?
Email editorial@safenestsenior.com with the page URL and the specific claim. Per our Editorial Standards, corrections are made publicly on the same page, with a dated note — not as a quiet edit.
